Tour with Leadership Team from Middleton School District

Another great day showcasing what makes ICI – Idaho Correctional Industries unique.

We were honored to host the leadership team from Middleton School District 134 for a tour of our operations, including Superintendent Marc C. Gee , Assistant Superintendent Lisa Pennington, Amber Van Ocker with LKV Architects , and Cory Wiltshire with Engineered Structures, Inc. (ESI). It was especially valuable to have the entire decision-making team together as we discussed opportunities for the new elementary school currently under construction in Middleton.

The conversation started around cabinetry and casework needs for the new school, but—as is often the case during an ICI tour—it quickly expanded. From custom cabinetry and millwork to furniture, signage, metal fabrication, apparel, and more, the most common phrase we hear is:

“I didn’t know you guys made that as well!”

That reaction never gets old.

Seeing our manufacturing capabilities firsthand always helps visitors understand the full scope of what ICI can provide.

We appreciate the opportunity to explore how ICI can help create high-quality, locally manufactured solutions while supporting workforce development and vocational training for Idaho’s Resident Trainees. As a self-funded organization, every product we manufacture, every service we provide, and every partnership we build directly supports meaningful job training, workforce development, and successful reentry opportunities throughout Idaho.
