About our Alliance Program

Idaho Correctional Industries (ICI) operates through multiple divisions, each designed to meet different workforce and rehabilitation objectives. Some programs are based inside secure facilities, where resident trainees work in production environments and learn technical and trade skills. Other programs operate outside the facilities and employ minimum-security participants who report to work just like any other employee—working normal 9–5 schedules, earning wages, and gaining real-world job experience.

Alliance is part of that second model. As a division of ICI, Alliance operates under the federal Prison Industry Enhancement (PIE) and Agricultural programs, allowing qualified participants to work in the community with approved partners. These are structured, accountable jobs that help individuals build skills, work history, and responsibility while directly supporting Idaho businesses.

Things are looking very strong for Alliance, and the momentum continues to build.

One of our long-standing agricultural partners has requested 10 additional Alliance workers—which is always great news. That brings their total to 25 individuals at the calf ranch and 12 at the feedlot, a clear reflection of strong performance, reliability, and growing operational needs. In addition, a partner in Eastern Idaho is exploring a major expansion that includes launching an entirely new production line. If this moves forward, it could create up to 50 additional Alliance positions, providing meaningful work opportunities while directly supporting business growth in the region. This is exactly what Alliance is designed to do—connect dependable, mission-driven workforce solutions with real-world business needs while creating pathways to skill development, responsibility, and successful reentry.

We are always looking for companies that want reliable labor and also want to make a difference by giving people a second chance. If you’re interested in partnering with Alliance, we’d love to have that conversation.
